Design and technology is a practical and inspiring subject that prepares children to take part in the development of the current and tomorrow's rapidly changing world. Our curriculum encourages imaginative, creative thinking and problem solving, both as individuals and as part of a team. Pupils learn how to take risks, becoming resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable citizens. Design and technology equips pupils with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own designs and products.

 

Design and technology enables pupils to examine and talk about how things work which enables them to draw and model their own ideas. Children discuss their likes and dislikes when evaluating, designing and making their own products. They are encouraged to select the appropriate tools and techniques for making a product, while following safe procedures.
