Welcome to Carville Primary School

Carville aims to be at the heart of the community, enabling everybody in our Carville Family to belong, support, develop and care for each other and enjoy learning together

Welcome to our Carville Family

Carville Primary School is a friendly, one-form entry primary school in Wallsend, located next to the north bank of the Tyne.

Children join our nursery when they are three years old and leave for secondary education at the end of Year 6, when they are 11 years old.

A very warm welcome to Carville Primary School.

I am extremely proud of the staff team we have here at Carville. We all recognise that every child is special and has their own unique contribution to make to our school and the wider world. We work hard and are dedicated to ensuring that every child is supported to reach their full potential, overcome their barriers and achieve their goals.

We recognise that parents and families play an important role in the education of our children. We welcome your support, challenge and cooperation in making your child's time at Carville the best it can be.

We have positive partnerships with our parents and our wider community which include a very supportive Governing Body and the Carville Family Forum.

The staff and I  value discussing any aspect of your child's education and general welfare.

Please call in at any time to see us, or to make an appointment.

Mr R Harker - Headteacher

Children are naturally curious and have an enthusiasm for learning and exploring their world.

We passionately believe that every day should be a learning adventure and want you and your children to recognise the vital role of learning in shaping the future. We strive to ensure that every decision we make has a positive impact on children’s wellbeing, learning and sense of purpose.

We are guided by several important values:

  • Respect for yourself
  • Respect for others
  • Effective Learning
  • Staying Safe
  • Heart of the Community
  • The Carville Promise
  • Fundamental British Values
